Job Description
Nyle is looking for a Supply Chain Manager. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Supply Chain Manager has responsibility for purchasing; inbound and outbound logistics, and inventory management. Specifically, you will:
- Identify vendors and negotiate best-in-class purchase agreements for parts, supplies, and logistics.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify parts and supply needs and secure these in time to maintain an effective supply chain.
- Establish and track vendor performance metrics, including pricing, lead time, and reliability, and use these metrics for vendor performance reviews. Identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Develop and maintain detailed inventories of materials and supplies in the factories.
- Maintain the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
- Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain and profitability for the company while ensuring quality and safety.
- Identify optimal shipment and transportation routes.
- Assess the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; make recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required.
- 3+ years’ experience as a supervisor or manager in a similar position in a manufacturing organization is required.
- 3+ years’ experience in the HVAC or heat pump industry is strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience recruiting and developing buyers, inventory specialists, and shipping, receiving, and warehouse employees.
- Thorough understanding of domestic and international logistics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and in the use of ERP systems. (i.e., Global Shop Solutions or similar)
This role is intended to be on-site. Candidates requiring hybrid or remote work schedules will not be considered.
